Spotify
If you haven't already used it, get the Spotify Premium free trial as streams from paid accounts count more for the charts than ad-funded streams.At the moment there is a 1 month free trial on all their plans. Why is Spotify important?
Spotify streams count towards the Official Irish Charts at a stream:sale ratio of 600:1 for ad-funded streams and 100:1 for paid streams.
How to stream on Spotify
Login to your Spotify account
Find the title track or a title track focused streaming playlist and hit 'play'
Do NOT mute Spotify
Make sure the loop button is OFF, it should be white - see the image below
Playlists
If you're making your own title track focused playlist, make sure there is at least 2 songs seperating the title track from itself
You do not have to include other artists in your playlist - you can choose to use solo BTS member songs though if you wish
If you're using a playlist that repeats the title track, make sure shuffle is OFF - see the image below
If a BTS song is added to any Irish Spotify playlists, stream the song there too, it helps to keep it on that playlist and can even move it up the playlist
Other important points to note
Share the song on social media for the song to be counted for the Irish Spotify Viral 50 Chart
Pre-save [title track/album] as it shows a high interest in an upcoming song and has a higher chance of being added to playlists
Be human; skip songs every so often, change playlsits, search for a song and listen to it etc.
Offline streams count (when you have the songs downloaded and are listening without a wifi connection - premium only) and will be added when you go online again
YouTube

Why is YouTube important?
In 2018, YouTube streams became countable for the Official Irish Charts and can help improve BTS' chart placement.
How to stream on YouTube
Login to your account
Search for the MV using the search bar
Watch the MV until the end
It is suggested to use 480p quality or higher
Do NOT replay, mute or fast forward/backward
Other importnat points to note
MOST IMPORTANT is to act like a human when streaming - take breaks, watch non-BTS videos and a variety of different types of video
Watching the ads generates revenue for BigHit and BTS but you dont have to watch them all
Watch at least 2 other videos inbetween watching the MV with a mix of BTS and non-BTS videos
Do NOT use playlists for the first 24 hours - views tend to get added later rather than sooner and could be added after the 24hr period
Do NOT clear your history/cache, use multiple windows/browsers, refresh the page or use private/incognito mode
Turn off autoplay
Watch the MV on any other accounts you may have
We do not suggest streaming through Weverse or embedded links as it's not certain they will count for the Official charts.
Shazam
Why is Shazam important?
Shazam is an important factor for radio when considering what songs to add to their playlists.
How to Shazam (Android)
Open Shazam
Play the song you wish to Shazam on any device, from a CD, when you hear it on radio. etc.
Tap the Shazam button and wait for it to pick up the song
Go to your phone settings then Apps then Shazam and clear data - if you don't clear data, only one shazam will count every 24 hours
Repeat - it takes about 20 seconds for this whole process
How to Shazam (Apple)
It is only possible for users to Shazam once per day per Apple device and to have it count using the app.BUT Apple users can also Shazam the song through Snapcaht once a day for an additional Shazam.
Open Snapchat
Make sure miscrophone access is ON
Play the song you wish to Shazam on any device, from a CD, when you hear it on radio etc.
Go to the camera screen on Snapchat, as if you are going to take a picture/selfie
Hold down on the screen - you should see music notes on the screen while pressing on the screen
Snapchat will identify the song
Repeat after 24hrs
Apple Music
Apple Music and iTunes are NOT the same!iTunes = to buy music

How to stream on Apple Music
Search for the song you want to stream on Apple Music
Press and hold on the song
Select 'Remove' and then 'Delete from Library' (to delete the whole album, go to the album and click the 3 dots to the right of the cover)
Go to 'search' and search for the song again
Click on the song (there should be a '+' sign beside it, this means it is has successfully been removed from your library)
Select and press on the song and select 'add to playlist'
You can add it to a new playlist or an existing one
Stream the playlist
Other important points to note
Make sure you have 'automatic downloads' and 'auto-add playlist songs' turned off - these can be found by going to your phone settings and going to 'Apple Music'

How to buy on iTunes
For the Irish iTunes Charts, buy the title track and then COMPLETE the album - this then counts for both the iTunes single and album charts.Buying the MV on iTunes also counts as a sale for the single!Android users CAN buy from iTunes by downloading iTunes to your laptop (does not have to be a Mac, you can create an account without an Apple device)
Deezer
Deezer streams count towards the Official Irish Charts at a stream:sale ratio of 600:1 for ad-funded streams and 100:1 for paid streams.
How to stream on Deezer
You cannot add a song more than once to a playlist in Deezer so we recommend adding songs to the "queue" to build up a "playlist" and to let it play.We suggest treating it like other platforms in that you do not mute, loop or repeat and play at least 2 different songs in between the song you're streaming.
